Tilstigmin Tablet (Neostigmine)

Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular disorder that leads to weakness of muscles that are under our control, such as those of the eyes, face, and swallowing. It can result in double vision, drooping eyelids, trouble talking, and trouble walking. It happens due to impaired coordination between muscles and nerves. Tilstigmin Tablet makes this coordination between nerves and muscles better and relieves the symptoms. As a result, your muscle strength is improved and you are able to lead a better life.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Common side effects of Tilstigmin

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal cramp
• Diarrhea
• Increased saliva production

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tilstigmin Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Tilstigmin Tablet is a reversible cholinesterase inhibitor. When taken by mouth it increases the level of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger in the brain, by suppressing acetylcholinesterase (enzyme). This acetylcholine further triggers muscle contracting receptors which helps in muscle contraction.
